Neda Saeedi

My studio is my place to be, to think, to experiment and, to let my mind enter strange/unknown realms.

What I do in one sentence: I unfold/dissect multilayered stories/histories and rearrange them in spatial setups in order to narrate them in an experiential way.

Why I didn’t get a proper job: I think being an artist is a proper job. To be honest I think a 9–5 job is the most unnatural way of working.

An artwork I dream of and I would get accomplished if space, time and money were abundant: I would love to make a permanent public art piece in Tehran (my hometown).

Why I do what I do: Because I enjoy it!

Artists, I have on my watch list (and why): I don’t make such lists for myself, I like to be surprised by discovering new artists in different fields and new perspectives.

I am afraid of irremediable injuries.

I know that a piece is finished when One hour before the exhibition opens, because I can’t do changes any more. 🙂

How I want to be buried resp. words I want to be written on my tombstone: Just my name.
