Lerato Shadi

My studio is my office, work space.

What I do in one sentence: A way of finding a vocabulary for questions I have.

Why I didn’t get a proper job: The question of value and remuneration is not for me. It’s for a society that supports and creates those structures. Meaning, why some jobs are valued more than others, is a good question.

An artwork I dream of and I would get accomplished if space, time and money were abundant: Give me a call and I’ll tell you about it, and bring your check book.

Artists, I have on my watch list (and why): It’s a few of them; most of the them have been ignored, because they don’t look the way we are told an “artist” has to look.

I am afraid of wilful ignorance.

How I want to be buried resp. words I want to be written on my tombstone: Hmmm let me think about that.
