Robert Henke

My studio is a necessity.

What I do in one sentence: working with computers, lasers and sound.

Why I didn’t get a proper job: I did, I co-created a very successful software and still work at the company.

An artwork I dream of and I would get accomplished if space, time and money were abundant: all the ones that will follow.

Why I do what I do: I can’t really find a rational explanation for what drives me. All I know is that when I do certain creative things, which can include making music, but also writing code or solving a hardware development puzzle, they completely occupy me and make me forget about time. And when I did achieve what I was aiming for I feel a great joy. Hence I want to experience this again.

Artists, I have on my watch list (and why): too many to name them.

I am afraid of many things.

How I want to be buried resp. words I want to be written on my tombstone: I don’t care. I am not even sure I’d like to have a tombstone at all.
